Justin and the Eastern Roman Empire.
Justin I was a Byzantine Emperor who reigned from year 518-527, and was the first of the emperors who was born into a poor family and had to work his way up to Emperor. Perhaps Justin I’s greatest achievement however was the bringing of his nephew Justinian I to be the Emperor. Justinian I came to be during his period of reign one of the most influential Byzantine Emperors. Previously, around 395, the Western Roman Empire fell to the Goths and other scavengers, bringing the land out of Roman rule. Justinian I planned on taking back the Western Roman Empire and reuniting it with the Eastern Roman Empire
